The School of Education's Step Up To Technology Project is part of the U.S. Department of Education's (USDE) Preparing Tomorrow's Teachers to Use Technology (PTTT) program. The USDE has determined that teacher education programs across the United States are not adequately preparing upcoming teachers to skillfully use technology as a part of their curricula.

Our Lady of the Lake University has up to 220 students seeking teacher certification annually. The education these students receive will potentially impact over 200 classrooms, or more than 5300 K-12 students across Central and South Central Texas. These K-12 students will reap the benefits of the technology infusion generated by this grant project.
